The weather was bitter cold outside and there was snow on Friday but everything was warm and fun inside for this trial! Baron Q'd 5 out of 6 runs, got 2 double Qs and 35 MACH points. The best weekend he has ever had! Twist Q'd in standard on Sunday and added 11 MACH points to her quest for a MACH. She was alot more controlled as I have been doing alot of heeling and focus and it is paying off!
Happy Holidays to everyone!
First trial of 2011 is in Lexington, VA in January! All 3 dogs are entered Saturday and Sunday. Hope I can keep up!
A wonderful place for healthy, safe and fun products for dogs and their owners.

Great Weekend - November 20 & 21, 2010
The weather was fantastic again this weekend. Accomplished alot around the house and getting ready for the Thanksgiving weekend at a trial in NJ. Taking Baron and Twist. There is FAST as well so I will be running 6 courses a day for 3 days! Hope the workouts on the treadmill help! I was able to get alot of training in this weekend as well. Baron, Twist and Ceri all did very well. Going to spend the next 3 days doing grids and individual obstacles as well as some distance work. Twist needs one leg in Novice FAST and Baron need 2 legs for his MXF. Twist could also finish her AXJ title and I hope both get lots of MACH points! Its a big trial. 990 runs a day and over 400 dogs with 3 rings. A bit like a circus but still lots of fun! I will report on the outcome on Monday!

Time change
The time changed this weekend and everyone got an extra hour of sleep. The puppies were not amused when breakfast was delayed by an hour on Sunday! :) They survived.
Now it is dark earlier and so running agility in the backyard after work is limited. To solve this we bought a flood light last night from Home Depot. 1200 watt Halogen. It lights up the yard perfectly! Training will continue. :) Upcoming trials include New Jersey over Thanksgiving weekend. One in December. Lexington, VA in January and Hampton and Lexington, VA in February. Lovin it!!
Ceri is starting at Hampton as that is a Novice and Open trial only and in a nice building for starting young dogs. She is doing very well in her training and is running short courses beautifully. I would swear she has taught herself agility by watching the other dogs!
Twist was 3 years old yesterday. Happy Birthday lil' Twist! She has done very well this year in agility. She has gotten her AX and OAJ and has 32 MACH points. Wow...she is doing spectacularly!
Baron has 10 QQs and 507 MACH points. We are hoping to complete his MACH next year. He is running the best he has ever run and is so enthusiastic. His favorite thing to do these days is to sit at the fence and watch the deer in the field. He so wants to go play! LOL
More to come as we compete and train...

Dauphin Dog Traiing Club - Agility - Oct 30 & 31, 2010
Baron and Twist had some great runs this past weekend. Baron qualified in 3 out of 4 runs and added Double Q #10 and 13 MACH points to his quest for a MACH. He has 507 points now! We broke the 500 mark finally! I think I can actually see us doing this. He has certainly gotten better and more consistant over this year. Twist qualified in Excellent Standard on Saturday and racked up 17 points for a total of 32 points so far. She was a bit wild at times but as she is not yet 3 and doing so well I can see her excelling as she gets more experience. We are off for a few weeks and I think we will be doing lots of obedience and trying to get more control. Next stop New Jersey at the Dream Park in Sweseboro over Thanksgiving. It is a great big trial with 3 rings and about 500 dogs. Can't think of a better way to spend the holiday!!!

York Dog Training Club - Dillsburg, PA Oct 16 & 17, 2010
What another nice weekend of weather. This was our first time at this site. Baron and Twist were entered. The building is a huge horse arena and barn. The footing is packed red clay which gets harder and dustier as the day goes on. I did not crate inside because of this. The dogs required a bath Sunday evening to wash off the dust and dirt. Both dogs did not seemed bothered by the dust or the footing. Baron got another 2 legs on his MXF with a 1st and 3rd. Just 2 more to go and the will have his MXF. There is an new AKC class called Time To Beat will be starting officially in January 2012. That looks like a fun class! Twist got her second Novice FAST leg with a 1st on Saturday. She was very distracted on Saturday but settled down nicely on Sunday.

Fredericksburg Dog Training Club - October 2-3, 2010
The weather was perfect for a weekend outside. Sunny and high 60s. Twist was very distracted on Saturday but listened well in the ring. She hasn't been to an agility trial since the beginning of August and has never been in a trial outside. So many sights and smells! The first class was Excellent B Standard. This was her first time competing in Excellent B and she was fairly wild. Missed the jump after the table because I pushed her too wide. The next class was Open Jumpers. She ran beautifully and was really paying attention. Unfortunately she ticked the last bar and it came down. What a heartbreaker! Sunday's weather started off nice despite the threat of rain. There were more clouds and it was chillier but the rain held off thankfully. Excellent Standard was first again and Twist seemed to be more focused and had settled down from the previous day. She ran a beautiful course and Qualified. She got 4th place and her first MACH points! 15 of them! Open Jumpers was next and I was really pushing to qualify so she could finish this title and move up to Excellent. She did! She ran a gorgeous course, Qualified and got 1st place! All in all a very satisfing weekend!
